Bredon Road, Tewkesbury
We secured our interests at Bredon Road in 2013 comprising of two separate sites.
The site to the west of Bredon Road was the subject of a historic consent for 23 units, however further to technical work led by Mactaggart & Mickel, we demonstrated that the site was capable of providing a much larger scheme comprising 68 dwelling units.
Further to Members refusing the outline planning application in October 2014, Mactaggart & Mickel lodged an appeal which was approved in August 2015. Key arguments in the appeal case related to whether Tewkesbury could demonstrate a 5 year land supply. Mactaggart and Mickel then worked with the landowners agent to market the site, which was acquired by Bellway in June 2016.
The land to the east of Bredon Road is located with Wychavon District Council. We are promoting this site as part of a logical planned urban extension to Tewkesbury, working with Barratt Homes via the South Worcestershire Core Strategy.
