The proposed development will create 101 new homes and will deliver a variety of housing types including cottage flats, terraced, semi-detached and detached homes, incorporating 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5-bedrooms.
In line with the requirement of the Local Development Plan (LDP), over 50% of the site will be developed for affordable housing, with over a third to be built for social rent and a proportion to be built as affordable homes for sale. The affordable homes for sale will be smaller, entry-level family homes and will be limited to sale to local residents only, for a period of three months from release, thereby giving local people first refusal on the new homes.
In the interests of keeping neighbours up-to-date on progress, representatives from Mactaggart & Mickel and the project team attended a special meeting of Drymen Community Council on Tuesday 14th August 2018 to present the proposals and to answer questions from the community.
