Coffee, bakes and treats… all in the name of charity
Mactaggart & Mickel Group has recently taken part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, raising over £230 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Taking place at various developments, treats to satisfy sweet and savoury cravings were served up to site teams and residents. On Friday 29 September, Sales Advisers at Greenan Views, Pat Sloan and Arlene Miller, prepared special treats for the on-site team raising over £75 in just one tea break. Another coffee morning was held the following day, on Saturday 30 September, with local residents raising a further £54.
Loccard Park sales advisers, Debbie Ferry and Lynn McDonald’s coffee morning featured home baked goodies made by themselves and generous local residents. Overall, they raised a total of £111.
Macmillan Cancer Support aims to help those who are affected by cancer by providing nurses, increasing awareness about cancer and providing much needed support to families. The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is the charity’s largest fundraising event and, in previous years, has seen up to 154,000 participating, raising £20 million.
Ed Monaghan, chief executive of Mactaggart & Mickel Group, said: “We are delighted that our employees have been able to fundraise for such a heart-warming charity that helps all people who are affected by cancer.”
