Mactaggart & Mickel Group donates to woodland adventure club
Award-winning family housebuilder Mactaggart & Mickel Group has supported children’s charity ‘Off Grid Kids’ with a donation of £300.
Based in Clarkston, the Off Grid Kids charity runs after-school and Forest School clubs which encourage children to play outdoors and discover their local woodland.
The donation helped fence off and develop the land provided by Mactaggart & Mickel Group to run one of its popular Forest Schools, which is located near the company’s Williamwood development.
Jacqui Frame of Off Grid Kids commented: “It’s encouraging to see a renowned housebuilder engaging with local initiatives such as our charity.
“Off Grid Kids is about so much more than just an after-school club; we help develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in woodland, skills that stay with children as they develop into adulthood. I can’t thank Mactaggart & Mickel Group enough for its ongoing support.”
Ed Monaghan, chief executive of Mactaggart & Mickel Group, added: “Working with the local community is really important to us and we’re always happy to provide support to organisations in the areas we build. The Forest School clubs project is particularly unique and we’re proud to help a charity that delivers such a valuable learning and development experience to young people.”
