Mactaggart & Mickel Group get stuck in for Cancer Research UK

Mactaggart & Mickel Group employees have raised £685 for charity by taking part in a challenging 5k obstacle course in Glasgow.

Joining a sea of women kitted out in pink, Lindsay McColl, Claire McCue, Marion Vasquez, Linda McLean, Tracey McMahon, Laura MacKenzie and Katie Anne Cole, braved the elements as they took part in the Pretty Muddy event at Bellahouston Park last month.

Ploughing through swampy ground and journeying over demanding obstacles, the ladies pushed themselves to the limit and got messy in aid of our 90th year charity partner, Cancer Research UK.

Ed Monaghan, chief executive of Mactaggart & Mickel Group, said: “Pretty Muddy allowed the ladies from our team to have fun, get involved, and most importantly raise crucial funds for a charity we hold close to our hearts.

“The event gave us a good push towards helping us reach our fundraising target of £20,000 - the icing on the cake is that the ladies who took part had such a fantastic day!”

Cancer Research UK is Mactaggart & Mickel Group’s official charity partner for 2015. If you want to see how you can get involved please contact Lindsay McColl (lindsay.mccoll@macmic.co.uk).
