£1000 donation to The Rosemary Foundation Hospice at Home

We're incredibly proud of our colleague, Conor Roberts, who successfully completed the IRONMAN Calella-Barcelona.

Not only did Conor conquer this gruelling endurance race, but he beat his personal goal, finishing in an incredible time under 12-hours.

Conor tackled the Ironman challenge in memory of Harry Kennington and to raise crucial funds for The Rosemary Foundation Hospice at Home. Harry tragically lost his battle with cancer in his early 20s last year and The Rosemary Foundation provided Harry and his family with invaluable at home hospice care and support.

This remarkable charity relies solely on donations and dedicated volunteers to offer comfort and support to children and adults facing similar situations.

By taking part in the event Conor aimed to raise not only vital funds, but also awareness for these incredible individuals who make a difference during families' most challenging times.

Following in his father's footsteps, Conor's 6-year-old son, Woody, even participated in the Ironkids race the day before! Woody, along with mum Katrina Mackay, cheered Conor across the finish line.

The RNLI lifesavers are our lifeline. They are the lifeboat crews who provide 24-hour search and rescue right around the UK and Ireland. RNLI lifeguards keep watch on 240 of the busiest beaches in the UK and Channel Islands; and RNLI safety teams and educators work tirelessly to stop us all getting into trouble in the first place.

£500 towards Chris Young KC's fundraising efforts for Shelter

Huge congratulations to Chris Young KC, who took part in this year's London Marathon. Not only did Chris complete the gruelling 26.2-mile course, but he did it while impressively dressed as a house – all in support of Shelter. He surpassed his fundraising goal, bringing in £22,000 for the homelessness charity.

Homelessness is a critical issue affecting many in our society. Rising living costs and a lack of affordable housing, exacerbated by political and planning hurdles, all contribute to this growing problem. Chris's dedication to raising awareness for homelessness, a cause close to our hearts, is truly inspiring. We were incredibly proud to support his phenomenal fundraising efforts through a donation from our Mac Mic Foundation.

Becky Blair, Area Service Manager for Glasgow Street Aid, expressed her gratitude, said:

"We cannot thank Mac Mic Group enough for the incredible donation from its Mac Mic Foundation! To be contacted by them out of the blue was the nicest surprise and to be supported by a big company like them is such a privilege.
