Mactaggart & Mickel Donates £20,000 to Centrepoint in Centenary Year
Mactaggart & Mickel has reached a key milestone in its Centenary Charity Partners programme with the official presentation of a £20,000 donation to Centrepoint, one of the UK’s leading youth homelessness charities.
To mark the occasion, Mactaggart & Mickel Director and fourth-generation family member Andrew Mickel met with Neil Child-Dyer, Head of Independent Living Capital Appeal at Centrepoint, at the charity’s London headquarters for a cheque presentation ceremony celebrating the company’s support and fundraising achievements.

Centrepoint supports more than 14,000 young people each year, placing them at the centre of its work across prevention, support, independent living, and influencing public policy and society. The charity also campaigns for systemic change to give every young person a fair chance in life, with an ambition to end youth homelessness by 2037.
The fundraising reflects the commitment and enthusiasm of Mactaggart & Mickel colleagues and partners during the company’s centenary year. Centrepoint focused activities included a virtual quiz night that brought together consultants, partners, and colleagues, as well as the UKREiiF Ride challenge completed by Mactaggart & Mickel Director Andrew Mickel (pictured below right) and Mac Mic Strategic Land Director Conor Roberts (pictured below left) from London to the UKREiiF conference in Leeds. Generous contributions from the Mickel Fund and the Mac Mic Foundation, also helped achieve the final total.

Andrew Mickel, Director, Mactaggart & Mickel, said: “We’re really proud to support Centrepoint in our centenary year. Visiting their London headquarters and meeting the team brought home just how vital their work is for young people who need somewhere safe to turn. I’m grateful to everyone across the business and to our wider supporters who got behind the fundraising and helped us reach this milestone. We couldn’t have done it without them.”
Neil Child-Dyer, Head of the Independent Living Capital Appeal, Centrepoint added: “We are profoundly grateful for the support received from Mactaggart & Mickel, and honoured to have been chosen as a Centenary Charity Partner. Our ability to support thousands of young people each year towards independence relies on committed supporters like Mactaggart & Mickel, whose generosity and belief in our mission help bring us so much closer to ending youth homelessness for good.”
Centrepoint delivers a holistic model of support, helping young people to access accommodation, therapeutic health services, and education, training and employment opportunities. This approach helps ensure young people have the support they need to move forward and build positive, independent futures.
Mactaggart & Mickel’s £20,000 donation will help fund a full course of counselling for around 20 homeless young people or enable Centrepoint’s Helpline team to support up to 400 young people facing homelessness into safe accommodation. Alternatively, the donation could support approximately 80 young people through the Educational Bursary Scheme, helping to cover course fees alongside essential travel costs and equipment needed to engage in education or training.
With the Centenary Charity Partners programme nearing its conclusion, and just one final event still to take place, further updates will follow in due course. The company’s centenary celebrations will officially conclude on 28 February 2026, marking 100 years since Mactaggart & Mickel’s incorporation.
