    Employees at Mactaggart & Mickel Homes’ Head office, timber factory and sites at Douglas Gardens, Milngavie, and Greenan Views, Ayr recently kitted themselves out in pink to help raise funds for Cancer Research UK’s Beat Breast Cancer Campaign. Selling an array of cakes and warm morning rolls in their colourful clothing, the staff managed to raise £1,000, which the company has matched, adding a total donation of £2,000 to the £2million raised during Breast Cancer Awareness Month from wear it pink fundraising events.

    Mactaggart and Mickel Homes has taken part in a voluntary clean up to help improve a cycle path near one of its developments in Dalkeith. Staff from the award winning family housebuilder, which promotes the Cycle to Work scheme, rolled up their sleeves to help local charity, Sustrans Scotland, spruce up the cycle path near the company’s Thornybank Green development. The workers got their hands dirty cutting back vegetation, scraping path edges, removing litter and widening paths.
